ECO trip.

In Rimu this week we went to the waste management center to see how it works and what they do. We also learned about the 5 Rs reduce, reuse, recycle, recover And reduce disposal. We also went to the eco store and the eco drop to see what is good for our (pretend) flat we were moving into that could be reused. Then we went to the eco store to by some stuff for our flat, we had a $500 dollar budget. Bree and I were in a pair and our favorite product we found was the marble cups which were very pretty. here is a photo of me and Bree presenting.

  1. Hi Piper,

It was a great trip wasn't it? It was lovely to see you and Bree so excited about what items you were going to have in your flat. I know you thought that with the left over money you could just have McDonalds every night so you didn't have to buy any pans etc to cook with, but do you still think that is a good idea? I learnt about Residual Disposal (what a great term). What was the key thing you learnt?
I look forward to your next blog post.

  2. Hi Piper

Im Qais from Waikowhai Primary School. I really liked the way you have given us a really good explanation of what you did and where you went. Your trip sounded like it was really fun.
It made me think of once when we had Mr Eco come to our school and we learnt all the 5 r's too.
Next time you could add more pictures of the trip.

  3. Hello Piper. My name is Fadlan from Waikowhai Primary School. I really liked the way you explained how you went on a trip to the waste management center and it sounds like you had a great time. This reminds me of when we had a American came to our school called Mr Eco and he thought us how we can stop polluting the earth. Next time you can add more photos in trip so it will be more detailed but overall you did a good blog post. If you want to see my learning my blog is wpsfadlans.blogspot.co.nz
